This week, I will go through a bunch of deals and discounts available for college students. This is a rather short article because I’m super tired, so enjoy!
Adobe CC is a collection of design software that you can use for anything from logo creation and photo manipulation through to video editing and composition. Usually, this package runs at $50 a year, but as a student, you get to access all of this for just $20 a month for the first year.
JetBrains makes a wide arrange of Integrated Development Environments or IDEs for short. IDEs help you to develop applications by offering code completion and suggestions, extensive debugging and testing tools, easy refactoring, project indexing along with other features depending on the IDE. It’s so good that Google uses a modified version of IntelliJ, their flagship IDE for Java development, for the Android IDE, Android Studio. JetBrains IDEs include WebStorm for web development, PyCharm for Python Development,
JetBrains IDEs include WebStorm for web development, PyCharm for Python Development, CLion for C and C++, Resharper for C# among others depending on the language. Although you get the full version of the IDEs as opposed to the limited Open Source versions, the license is only good for non-commercial/educational use.
Microsoft Office is the most common productivity suite with applications such as Word for word processing, Excel for spreadsheets, PowerPoint for presentations, Access for databases along with a couple other applications.
Typically, Microsoft Office will cost you $150 a year, but you get to have all of this for free. Once more, you get free upgrades to the latest version as well as the ability to use Microsoft Office across 5 devices.
Under the DreamSpark Program, you can get Windows 10 for free. Great if you need a way to use.
